Dr. Steven M Umberger a native Georgian is a 1985 graduate of Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry (recently renamed Georgia Regents University) . He has practiced dentistry in Newnan since 1985. He and his wife Bonnie have two grown children and reside in Coweta County. His interests include reading, gardening and restoration of log cabins.

Dr. Patel grew up in Shelton, Connecticut and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology and Philosophy from Boston University. She attended University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine. Upon getting her D.M.D. degree, she completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency program at University of Missouri at Kansas City.

Dr. Patel is an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Patel stays current with new technology and evolving dental care through continuing education courses. Because of her commitment to her profession, Dr. Patel was awarded her fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry in 2018 and her Masters in the Academy of General Dentistry is 2020. Only 2% of general dentists have received this honor. The Mastership Award is the highest honor available in the AGD and one of the most respected designations in the profession. This accomplishment meets the highest criteria for professional excellence. To accomplish this, Dr. Patel completed more than 1,100 hours of continuing dental education in the 16 disciplines of dentistry, including 400 hours dedicated to hands-on skills and techniques. As a recipient of this award, Dr. Patel has joined 2,208 members of the dental community who understand that great smiles and good oral health for their patients are the result of going above and beyond basic requirements.

Family is the most important part of Dr. Patel’s life and a great source of happiness. Dr. Patel is happily married and the mother of 2 beautiful daughters. In her spare time, Dr. Patel enjoys playing tennis, reading, traveling, and spending time with her family!

Dr. Steve Gorman is a trusted source of information among his colleagues regarding restorative and cosmetic techniques and is judged to have a keen eye for the perfectly natural smile.
Dr. Gorman emphasizes custom smile design in cosmetic and restorative dentistry. He is licensed in Georgia and Minnesota and is one of only 10 dentists accredited by the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD) in Georgia and is a founding Member and past president of the Minnesota Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (MACD).

Dr. Gorman’s AACD accreditation is a testimony to years of experience in complex dentistry, requiring a keen and exacting eye. As an extremely active member of the AACD, Dr. Gorman regularly attends annual international meetings where the “best of the best” come together to share the latest in cosmetic dentistry. The AACD is the world’s largest organization dedicated to advancing excellence in comprehensive oral care.

Dr. Gorman and wife Connie moved to Serenbe to be near his daughter Maddie and her family, and has enjoyed getting acquainted with neighbors, new friends and the dental professional community.

Dr. Egan brings over 25 years of experience combining tooth-moving expertise with the best new technology to create healthy, beautiful, smiles and an orthodontic experience like no other.

Dr. Egan completed his education in dentistry and orthodontics at the School of Dental Medicine at Stony Brook University in New York. He went on to teach orthodontics to doctors in the same postgraduate orthodontic program for over 10 years. While there, he created and taught the Clear Aligner Orthodontic Treatment course. Dr. Egan now teaches at the Georgia School of Orthodontics in Sandy Springs and Duluth. He has published original research in The American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics and has over 1500 hours of continuing dental education since graduating. Dr. Egan practiced in New York for over 25 years. He and his wife Christine raised three children there before moving to Serenbe.

After becoming a Diplomate of The American Board of Orthodontics, Dr. Egan dedicated himself to becoming as expert with clear aligners as he already was with braces. He also lectures on using new technologies to re-invent the patient experience. Dr. Egan has been recognized as a top provider of Invisalign, Dental Monitoring, and Spark aligners.

Besides making smiles, Dr. Egan enjoys running, hiking and snowboarding. You can often find him running the trails of Serenbe.
